Fillers

"Filler" is a generic term commonly used to refer to an injectable product that fills a depressed area. Fillers are divided into: Permanent, semi-permanent, and absorbable; Autologous (from the same person) and heterologous (synthetic and non-synthetic).

Permanent and semi-permanent fillers are burdened by a high rate of complications due to the inherent characteristics of the molecules, which sometimes lead to a tissue reaction. This reason has significantly reduced their usage over the years.

The materials I use as fillers have been selected for safety and effectiveness, and their usage varies according to the need:
Hyaluronic acid: Present in different concentrations and densities depending on the requirement. Used for revitalization, treatment of fine, medium, and deep wrinkles, volumetric filling of the cheeks and nasojugal groove, and treatment of dark circles.
Polylactic acid: Indicated for filling hollowed cheeks and for structuring (flooring) the subcutaneous tissues of the face.
Fat grafting (lipofilling): Refer to a specific section.
